On 2/7, you should have received a text message notifying you that you will need to save your contacts to Verizon Cloud. Verizon Backup Assistant or VZ Backup will no longer be.
Going forward, options that will work for you:
- If you have an Apple smart device, you can either backup your device to your iCloud account or you can download the Verizon Cloud app from the app store and backup.
- If you have an Android smart device, you can download the Verizon Cloud app from Play Store and backup. This app works well and also backs up your pictures.
NOTE: You want to be backing up your data. If you have to replace your device, especially due to water damage or cracked display, a proper backup will restore your new device to replicate what you were use to on the old device.
